Hitting

I want to show the key points that are consistent with all great hitters.
The keys are:
  1. Stride foot lands closed
  2. Tall on back foot as it pushes off
  3. Back knee "L" drives forward toward front knee
  4. Front knee straight as it drives hip back toward catcher
  5. Back elbow "L" in slot tight to hip
  6. Palm up palm down, hands clear ball before contact
  7. Front arm extended hands close to body and behind belly button
  8. Head down on ball
  9. Hips open toward pitcher
  10. Top hand roll over after contact

Balanced stance hands even with back shoulder Front heal raised slightly.
As pitch is delivered turn front knee, hip and shoulder in. When stride foot lands keep it semi closed 45 degrees or less.
Start swing with hips keep hands back.
Dig in with back heel so you can drive the back knee forward.

Back elbow L Back elbow tight to hip in the slot
Head down on ball Hips start before hands
Inside pitch hands close to chest open front shoulder. Low inside pitch.
